Pied-à-Terre Block Decoupage Glass Tray

Bold, urban, and unapologetically chic, Pied-à-Terre captures the thrill of having a place in the city that feels entirely your own. The stark typography, lifted from an antique encyclopedia, reads like a whispered password among insiders, graphic and worldly, confident without trying too hard. It’s a word that carries stories of late nights, early mornings, and the magnetic pull of a life lived between arrivals and departures.

Handcrafted in our New York City studio using the traditional French art of decoupage, this bent-glass tray is made one at a time, carefully layering vintage letterforms beneath glass and firing them into permanence. The surface glows with depth and subtle variation, giving the piece a presence that feels collected rather than manufactured. Each tray is individually signed by Ben, a signature that grounds it in his enduring love for the charming and the unusual.

Designed to move effortlessly through everyday life, the tray is food safe, wipe clean, and finished with a felted back. It can rest on a tabletop, stand on a gallery easel, or hang with a plate hanger as a striking typographic statement. Each piece arrives with a folded card explaining the time-honored decoupage process.
