Good Friends Are Like Stars Decoupage Glass Tray

Some friendships do not announce themselves loudly. They simply show up, again and again, steady as the night sky. “Good friends are like stars. You can’t always see them twinkle, but they are always there” captures that quiet certainty, a sentiment that feels both tender and true. Set beneath glass, the words invite pause, reflection, and gratitude for the people who anchor us, even when life gets busy.

Handcrafted in the French tradition of decoupage, this bent-glass tray is made in our New York studio, where each paper element is carefully layered and sealed to create depth, clarity, and permanence. The illustration reflects Ben’s distinctive eye for the charming and the unusual, balancing warmth with restraint. Every tray is individually signed by Ben, a personal mark that turns a thoughtful object into a lasting keepsake.

Designed to be lived with, Ben’s signature glass decoupage is food safe, wipes clean easily, and is finished with a felted back to protect surfaces. Use it to serve, to gather small treasures, or to display as a quiet reminder of connection, either flat, on a gallery easel, or hung with a plate hanger. A folded card explaining the time-honored decoupage process accompanies each piece, so the story behind the craft is always part of the gift.
