Darling Spencer Cursive Decoupage Glass Tray

A single word, softly spoken. Darling feels like a note slipped across a café table in Paris, or a familiar sign-off at the bottom of a letter kept far longer than intended. Lifted from an antique French script, the lettering carries a tenderness that’s effortless and intimate—romantic without trying too hard, affectionate without explanation. It’s the kind of word that lingers.

Each tray is handcrafted in our New York City studio using the traditional French art of découpage, where vintage imagery is carefully layered beneath bent glass and fired until it becomes part of the surface itself. The result is luminous and tactile, with subtle variations that ensure no two pieces are ever quite the same. Every tray is individually signed by Ben, a quiet mark of authorship and intention.

Finished with a felted back, food-safe and wipe-clean, this piece is as practical as it is poetic. Style it on a bedside table, entry console, or vanity, or display it upright as a small work of art. A folded card accompanies each tray, sharing the time-honored découpage process that makes it so enduring.
